The cleaner your lashes are, the better your retention will be. Avoid caffeine 5-hours prior to your appointment, as this can cause your eyes to twitch and flutter during application . If possible, shower before your appointment. Avoiding unnecessary contact with water and steam for the first 24-hours will help with the retention of your lash extensions. Aftercare You can wet your lashes right away. Washing your lashes daily with a lash-specific cleanser is vital in the upkeep of your lash set. Do not rub your eyes and pick at your lashes. Use oil-free face products as much as possible. Avoid using mascara on your lash extensions. The use of mascara over your lash extensions will require a removal and a new set. Refrain from getting your lashes directly in heat's way (ie. baking, cooking, bonfire, hot hair tools, etc). Lash extensions are heat-resistant, not heatproof. Direct contact with heat may singe your lash extensions. Gently brush your lashes daily with a lash spoolie. See a trained eyelash technician for removals.
